Harps edge closer to sealing their place in Premier Division next season

first_imgIt has been a long season but Finn Harps have almost guaranteed themselves a place in the Premier Division for next season.Ollie Horgan’s side drew 0-0 with Wexford Youths in Ferrycarrig Park tonight but it is still mathematically possible for Wexford to catch the Donegal side.The Ballybofey outfit are six points clear of Youths with the Wexford team facing a tough encounter against Cork City on Monday. Nothing less than victory will keep Wexford’s hopes alive.The south-easterners also then face a tricky encounter away to Sligo as Harps entertain Bohemians at Finn Park.Harps had to survive a nervous second half as Wexford went in search of a win which would have strengthened their fight for survival.Packie Mailey and Ryan Curran had chances to snatch all three points for Harps.
