They have to look at space. They have to use area, perimeter, design, and I hope a few fraction skills in there too.”After the kids got their hands dirty in the sand, they switched gears for their clean up portion of the visit. Mrs. McInerney says the kids have committed to keeping the environment clean. With this project, they’re building on what they already started.“We have project lists that we came up with and the kids have been really great about keeping it clean. They created a sign up sheet and they have different parents going each week to clean the park. So today, we’re just adding to that and we’re going to clean up Starlite Park.”The kids are looking forward to continuing to take care of their environment, and taking their skills to junior high this fall.AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to FacebookFacebookShare to TwitterTwitterShare to MoreAddThisContinue ReadingPrevious Police needs help locating two missing trailersNext Emergency Coordinator, Burt Francisco, retiring from Alpena Countylast_img
