Ryanair express frustration over customers “repeatedly flouting” baggage rules

first_imgRyanair has today issued a statement expressing their frustration over people’s lack of regard for cabin bag restrictions. They have today urged its customers to comply with the rules, which they say are “repeatedly flouted”, resulting in boarding delays during this peak summer season.Ryanair spokesperson Kenny Jacobs says that if people keep disregarding the rules, they may be forced to “review their policy.” Due to the rush to get a few nights away before the end of summer, they say that a whopping 97% of their flights are full this summer – making the scramble for overhead locker cabin space at this time of year particularly stressful.Only 90 normal cabin bags can be carried in the overhead bins, with the extra cabin baggage being put in the aircraft hold free of charge. If your bag is too big however, prepare to cough up €50 for them to put it in the aircraft hold.Jacobs sais; “Despite our repeated messaging, some customers are still attempting to bring larger than permitted bags onboard, which are causing delays at the boarding gate. “As advised, customers are permitted to bring a normal cabin bag and a smaller bag onboard. However, many customers are repeatedly exceeding our cabin baggage allowance and we will be left with no choice but to review our policy should this practice continue.”Ryanair express frustration over customers “repeatedly flouting” baggage rules was last modified: August 18th, 2017 by Elaine McCalligShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:baggagecabin baggageholidaysryanairlast_img
