STORM UPDATE: GARDA BOSS WARNS MOTORISTS NOT TO DRIVE UNLESS NECESSARY

first_imgThe head of the Donegal Garda Traffic Corps has warned people not to drive in the current stormy weather conditions unless absolutely necessary.Trees are down around the county in the current storm.Inspector Michael Harrison has warned motorists that road conditions are hazardous with gusting winds and heavy rain this evening.The leading Garda’s warning comes as gusts of up to 160kph lash Donegal. Inspector Harrison told Donegal Daily “The weather conditions are very bad out there with gusting winds and driving rain making conditions hazardous for motorists.“Our advice to motorists is to put off a journey unless it is absolutely necessary.
