Taylor has its own TV show, now Fort St. John will be a part of movie magic.A group of community-minded artists, writers and producers from across Canada have secretly been working on a new project titled “Where The Art Is”, showcasing a nation-wide depiction of arts and culture within smaller communities.- Advertisement -This never been done before project will be creating a set of short films, which will explore various original stories involving arts and culture taking place in small towns and cities across Canada.Fort St. John will be the first community involved in the project. A total of seven short movies are set to begin filming in the city immediately. They will feature some of Fort St. John’s musicians, artists and dancers.The films will feature the artists that live here, local venues and supportive organizations, the communities the artists live in and the supportive fans. A few of the artists being featured include visual artist Amy Te Bulte, musician Mat Savard and Ryan Hennessey, along with Egan’s Open Mic.The movies will be available for free at WhereTheArtis.ca or NorthernGroove.com. They will also be available for viewing through the organization’s Facebook and Twitter page.
