One of Berbice’s finest youth batsmen, Benjamin scored a belligerent 124, which included 10 classy fours and 9 huge maximums. The opening batsman got support from the former Berbice Under-19 all-rounder Keith Simpson, who scored an attractive 55, which was laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Carl Gilgeous was the pick of the CSS bowlers, picking up 3 wickets while Jovan Persaud supported with 2 wickets.In CSS’s reply, they failed to get off to a flying start as spinners Brandon Stewart and Simon Naidu spun webs all over the CSS batsmen, who seemed to have had on their dancing shoes.
