Social media powerful in youth market

Tourism NSW last month launched a youth programme that has accomplished excellent early results which was mentioned on twitter over 1.2 million in the first two weeks of the programme.The programme’s objective is to present Sydney and NSW as an exciting, accessible and affordable destination, increasing the NSW share of 18 to 30 year olds visitor nights and length of stay.According to Tourism NSW, the popularity of the program has been attributed to fashion blogger Helen Lee from Sassy Bella, Nikki Hager founder of Peep Toe Shoes, filmmaker Matilda Brown and travel blogger The Travel Tart, tweeting advice and details about their experiences in NSW.In the coming weeks Tourism NSW expects to enjoy more positive results when Guy Sebastian, Channel V’s Danny Clayton and blogger Chocolate Suze participate in the program.last_img read more
